Be The Change MN has organized a festive and fun Family night at Nellie Stone Johnson Community School (NSJ) in North Minneapolis featuring a sit-down dinner, dance, games, gifts, and more. Teen volunteers are organizing the event, in partnership with Be The Change MN, a local non-profit focused on investing in the youth in our community. All 230 students and their families will be invited to attend and be served by Teen and Adult volunteers, as well as NSJ faculty and staff.
Be The Change MN theme for 2022 is “Winter Wonderland”, with decorations, food and games reflecting the wonder of the beautiful winter in Minnesota and the warmth of family and friends at this time of year. The mission of this event is to create a special, memorable event to experience joy, family connection, play and celebrating togetherness as a school community. Guests will eat a hearty meal, prepared by celebrated local chefs and served by the Teen volunteers.
The event will take place at NSJ in North Minneapolis on December 14 from 4:00-7:00pm:
4:00pm – Social hour, games, and activities
5:30pm – Dinner
6:00pm – Dance
